Definition of blog
Origin of the word blog comes from web log, which means that there is a note on the website. Blogs become an interesting phenomenon on the internet because of the strong interaction between visitors of the blog with the blog owner. Each blog contains content owners, visitors enjoy free and provide feedback in the form of comments which will appear on the blog.

Characteristics of blogs are owned by the blog's content is stored and displayed in chronological order, ie the order of time. Content or the most recent posts on the page top. Posts in the past will be pushed down. The second characteristic, the blog's content is separated for certain categories to facilitate penelususan blog content. Comment: The mechanism of the feedback from visitors to the owner or manager of the blog. From the comments are expected to obtain valuable input.

Definisi blog
Blog berasal dari asal kata web log yang berarti catatan yang ada di situs web. Blog menjadi fenomena yang menarik di internet karena adanya interaksi yang kuat antara pengunjung blog dengan pemilik blog. Setiap pemilik blog memuat konten, pengunjung bebas menikmatinya dan sekaligus memberikan umpan balik berupa komentar yang akan tampil di blog tersebut.

Karaktersitik yang dimiliki blog adalah konten blog tersimpan dan ditampilkan secara kronologis, yaitu urutan waktu. Konten atau tulisan terbaru ada pada halaman paling atas. Tulisan yang lalu-lalu akan terdorong ke bawah. Karakteristik kedua, konten blog dipisahkan atas kategori tertentu untuk mempermudah penelususan isi blog. Karakteristik ketiga seperti yang telah disebut pada paragraf sebelumnya, blog harus menyediakan mekanisme interaksi antara pengunjung dan pengelola blog. Ketiga karaktersitik inilah yang kemudian membedakan antara blog dengan website biasa.berupa apa saja asalkan menarik dan informatif untuk dibaca. Blog pun tidak harus dimiliki oleh individu, kelompok pun tidak dilarang untuk mengelola blog bersama-sama.

Pada awalnya, blog lebih difungsikan sebagai catatan harian online yang bisa dilihat semua orang. Konten-konten blog mulanya cenderung bersifat personal. Tapi seiring waktu, pakem ini tidak berjalan terlalu saklek. Konten blog bisa tulisan dari beragam topik, foto-foto dan orgranisasi atau kelompok pun tidak terlarang untuk memiliki blog.

Terminologi-terminologi penting dalam dunia blogging:

Post: Tulisan yang disimpan dan ditampilkan secara dinamis berdasar kronologis waktu dan kategori.
Pages: Tulisan statis yang tidak disimpan dan ditampilkan secara dinamis berdasar kronologis waktu dan kategori. Pages biasa berguna untuk menampilkan kontak, alamt atau hal-hal yang harus menjadi perhatian pengunjung blog.
Comment: Mekanisme umpan-balik dari pengunjung pada pemilik atau pengelola blog. Dari komentar diharapkan dapat diperoleh masukan berharga.

 

Belajar bikin blog sejak tahun 2007, saat ini ada sekitar 300 buah web/blog yang sudah saya buat, baik itu di blogger, 50webs, 110mb, freetzi, 00webhost, blogoshop, domain dan hosting berbayar.
